Defining A Quick Select Set
This tutorial will teach how to use a quick select feature in Maya.
Defining The Set
Step one - Create six spheres in the scene. Their position is not important. Or open the model you want to use.
Step two - Select the objects that you want to be defined in the quick select.
Step three - Now go to create>sets>quick select set... Enter a relative name to the quick select set. Example; left_sphere
Now to use your quick select set deselect the objects if they already
haven't been selected and then go to edit>quick select sets>name
of your set here. As you can see it will select the objects again.
Uses
This is handy when you have a lot of objects in a small scene that need to be selected often.
