Converting Paint Effects To Polygons
This tutorial will teach you how to convert paint effects to polygons.
Step one - Select your paint effects and go to modify>convert>paint effects to polygons... Open the options.
Check Quad Output and click Convert.
If this results in an error, like "// Warning: There are no lights in the scene", continue on, but if nothing is created, go to modify>convert>paint effects to polygons... Open the options.
Increase the Poly Limit to something like 200000. Now click Convert.
Step two - Go to edit>delete all by type>history. This will remove the connection between the still-existing paint effects and the new polygon geometry.
Step three - Go to window>outliner.
Step four - Select and delete strokeBrush# and curveBrush#. This removes all history of the paint effects.
Now you're done. If your paint effects are animated, you'll want to skip deleting the paint effects and deleting history. Good luck.
